A Packing Nightmare!

Our big European vacation is almost upon us and I haven't even begun to pack. Ugh. Really, I would like to transport most of my wardrobe with me, but alas, that is not possible.

So, what to pack?  I know that I need comfy shoes in Switzerland because we'll be spending time in the mountains and doing a little bit of hiking.  I also know that it may be colder up in the mountains so I need to pack warmer clothes while were there.  I think layering is the answer here....

So in Paris, it will be in the upper 70's to mid 80's, which I think is perfect weather for strolling and shopping, and eating!  This also means that I can wear dresses, pants if it's chilly or raining, skirts, etc...the possibilities are endless.  And, don't even get me started on the heels and sandals I want to know I gotta keep up with the Parisian women!

The question is, how do I pack everything I need and not over pack?  Is it possible?  I know the answer is yes, it's just a difficult task.

Any packing tips or advice is much appreciated!

  1. Check this out:

Plastic packing bags. Squeeze out the air. It's amazing, and your clothes aren't wrinkled when you unpack them.

  2. Plan outfits. You don't wanna overpack, so you don't wanna pack a shirt you're not gonna wear.
