Swimsuit Shopping

We're off to Puerto Rico in 6 days and I need new swimwear.  I'm beginning to think that I shouldn't be wearing teeny weeny bikinis anymore, but I'm not quite ready for the full coverage one piece either.

Here's why. Although I am a petite person, I feel like most bikinis are either for teenage girls (ie. too loud and frilly), or for swimsuit models who have perfect bodies and can pull anything off. Needless to say, I do not fit into either of those categories.  On the other hand, a lot of the one piece suits I see are a little too old for me (ie. solid dark colors and kinda frumpy).

So, what to do, what to do?  Here are some tankinis that I like and some modern, fun one pieces I have my eyes on.

So, what do you think?

  1. Christina, the Nanette Lepore Rhumba Seductress is spectacular! And at only $149, I am surprised by how (semi)affordable it is! (I mean, it's not affordable for me as I am in school and we are a one-income family, but it certainly is for two-income families!) I really expected it to be in the $400+ range, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the price.
Wear it in good health and enjoy your vacation!
